Comedo: These pimples may not be infected and can either by under the skin or rise to the skin's surface. They may look darker than the original skin colour. The dark colour is not from dirt.
Papules: These are small tender bumps on the skin.
Pustules: These pimples have pus on top.
Nodules: These are inflamed, solid lesions that are deep in the skin.
